Presidential gap
So I just took a look back at the books I had read. I did this because I was curious if good reads has a way to do that. They do now. They didn’t used to. It’s called stats.

Post Holiday Report
Man cleaning up after the one holiday is bad. Between the boxes and the boxes those boxes came and the bubble wrap those boxes were in and finally the boxes containing those boxes… shit that’s a lot of cardboard.
Then there are the gift cards that lead to the cardboard that lead to the recycle.

Oh today is so awesome. By delaying Christmas until I get the kids back on Monday I’ve given myself 2 whole extra days to do shit. Nothing is wrapped. Nothing. I have plenty of time and for one of Jen’s gifts I had a hunch there would be a sale tomorrow and Yes there is! 70% off. So hells yeah that gift is going to be cheap and exactly what she wants.

We went to Samantha’s concert last week. It was pretty awesome for various musical reasons, but there was also this little pre show exchange with a perfect stranger to lead it off.

Playing in Traffic
There was a dude in the passenger side of a van in the carpool lane on my morning commute hanging out the window as the regular lanes passed by. Theatrical Weekend
First up was Penn and Teller. Awesome. I don’t think the show is the same as Vegas and it was a great mix of new and the old favorites that are classic P&T. It was nice to get another photo with Teller and I’ll be hanging that on the fridge next to the one from years ago.
Today was ‘Twas with both Mark and Deonn. Hilarious. I wish I could catch the adult version. Maybe....

It was all jazzed up
Tonight we went to see Sam play in her Jazz band concert. She was playing piano in public for the first time. She rocked. She even had a solo. Her solo was amazing as were the other kids. I love how they line up with their horns at the mic to do their solo. Of course you don’t line up with a piano for a solo, you just hit the keys really hard.
She really rocked it. I didn’t expect it...
Recreational Conflict
So my neighbor has a big RV. It’s huge. One day coming home from work I saw a bunch of direcTV guys crawling all over it so I’m pretty sure it has more channels than Ted Turner himself.
